Net Casino Sucker Bets — Part II

  • Progressive side bets: Casino games such as Caribbean Stud Poker regularly contain one of these. You usually lay a bet ($1 is the normal amt.) to attempt to win a bonus jackpot that could reach twenty-five thousand dollars. Though huge jackpots like this are particularly alluring, they’re also particularly hard to win. You would have to get a Royal Flush in order to win this bet. Also, picture this- you play twenty hands and place the side wager each time. That is $20 you should have used towards the real game wager instead of a sucker wager. Picture what you might have been able to win at a wager with better odds employing that $20.
  • Individual number wagers in Roulette: This is especially true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has two zeroes on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has only 1. This shifts the complete casino advantage from 2% with one zero wheel to a whopping 5.26percent in American. The single number wager has just a one in thirty eight chance of succeeding, which are very long odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red bets instead which have a much lower casino edge.
  • Keno: Any version of Keno, and anyway you play it, the house edge can be a whopping 25%. No, that isn’t a typo. Due to the huge amount of numbers you must select, it’s not recommended to gamble on Keno very much. A couple of times for entertainment, maybe. But don’t waste all your cash on it or you will immediately discover yourself broke.
