Learning From My Betting Failures

Wednesday, 2. January 2019

I have been gambling on the internet or at brick and mortar gambling halls for many years. I have learned, the addiction usually will take a hold of you and you won’t even see it until you are beaten. Notably if you are on a run. I have been through uncounted tens of thousands of dollars in a very short period of time and even today, I sometimes go too far. It seems you are only enjoying yourself until you make a choice to pay attention to your loss and the guilt settles in, and of course you keep telling yourself "I am able to gain it back" a number of times. It does not work. Then you feel queasy in your stomach and the more you attempt the faster you throw away.

When you see that you are up, STAY Ahead! When you begin to give away, don’t tell yourself, "well only one more" over and over again, believe in me, this technique almost never ever works. Say you plan on playing on slot machines, have a pot separate prior to starting your betting. DO NOT go over that restriction, regardless of how tempting. If you happen to win, put the winnings in an alternate canister. Don’t bet your profits no matter what. After you have wagered through your beginning determine threshold, stop. Back off, whether it is on the internet or in a land based gambling hall, do not stick around. Make sure to remember, there certainly is another day, other times. Clearly, this process can work for any casino game that you enjoy, be it bingo, poker, video poker, keno, twenty-one or any other casino game.

Keep in mind, betting should be delightful not burdensome, sickening work! If you aren’t having fun yourself, you do not belong there. If you can’t pay for the losses, do not even start.
