Progressive side wagers: Casino games such as Caribbean Stud Poker regularly offer one of these. You typically lay a bet ($1 is the usual amt.) to attempt to win a bonus jackpot that can reach twenty-five thousand dollars. Although big jackpots like these are extremely appealing, they are also very difficult to win. You might have to get a Royal Flush in order to win this bet. Also, imagine this- you wager twenty hands and lay the side wager each time. That is 20 dollars you could have used towards the actual game wager in place of a sucker bet. Imagine what you might have been able to win at a bet with better odds utilizing that 20 dollars.
Individual number bets in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. Why? American Roulette has two 0’s on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has only 1. This takes the overall house edge from 2.63% with one zero wheel to a whopping 5percent in American. The one number bet has only a 1 in 38 chance of winning, which are very long odds indeed. Try even-odd or black-red bets instead which have a much smaller casino advantage.
Keno: Any variation of Keno, and regardless of how you bet on it, the house advantage can be a huge 25%. No, that isn’t a error. Because of the huge set of numbers you have to select, it isn’t advisable to gamble on Keno very much. A few times for fun, maybe. But do not spend all your money on it or you’ll immediately discover yourself bankrupt.
